What a difference a Skein makes

I noticed about half way through the cuff of my second sock that the stripes are different than the first sock. I don't know why I expected it to turn out the same. They are hand-painted yarns no some Walmart, mass produced POS. I am sure no one else will notice. It started to annoy me but then I got over it and realized that the character of handmade items comes in the little imperfections and details. Is it because I am knitting a pair that I think they should match? The little imperfections/mistakes I made in sweaters or scarves never seemed to bother me.

iPod update: According to the Fed-Ex tracker, I should get my iPod Monday morning.

  • Hi there,
I like your socks....and am struggling through my second pair myself. The first pair was knitted last summer and now I've completely forgotten how to do the wrap and turn! I don't seem to be reducing the stitches (30) on my needle as I wrap and turn. Any ideas about what I might be doing wrong?

PS. I bet you will love your ipod...I got a mini when they first came out and I love it....but
I am pretty much an apple computer addict!!

  • I think they look great. That yarn is really pretty.
