I am making my first completely from scratch pie next week for Thanksgiving. I am a little nervous but I think I got off easy. I think I might buy some pickeled herring this weekend and bring that too. My grandpa used to bring some every year.

  • pickled herring sounds like an interesting tradition, at least there is a family member associated with it. when we lived in dundalk md it was neck bones and suarkraut at everyones celebration....and no one knew why.
